LHDC was established in 1972. They currently have 13 developments up and running and fully occupied. These developments contain a total of 904 units with 202 units for independent senior living, 626 for families and 76 units of supportive living for seniors that need assistance.<\/p><h4>Mission Statement:<\/h4><p>To enhance the living standards of working families and seniors. We are committed to collaborating on the development, production, and management of low-cost affordable housing in secure and thriving communities. <\/p><h4>Some of the benefits provided by LHDC include the following:<\/h4><ul><li>Creates jobs for our members and contractors<br \/>Increases market share in the apartment and residential segments<\/li><li>Enhances the union\u2019s stature and status in the community<\/li><li>Creates quality affordable housing for working families and seniors<\/li><li>Creates union jobs to manage and maintain the facility after it is
